I purchased a LG refrigerator last year.I paid extra for the Premium Plan (5Yr). My refrigerator stopped working on3/8/10. The technician (Geek Squad) first appointment was on Thursday 3/11/10. After 5 minutes, I was advised that the problem the control box that needed to be replaced, and that it would not be available until 3/17/10. This was totally unacceptable, as I was already keeping my insulin cold in a icebucket, and had to purchade food as needed at least 4 times a day, to prevent spoilage. I contacted the store where I purchased the appliance, and basically was told that there was nothing that could be done. the exception being is that I purchase a small refrigerator to keep my medications in until the LG was fixed, and then a credit would be issued to my card when the refrigerator was returned. I tried to have my problem solved all the way uop to Corporate Consumer Relations. All of the Employees "stuck to the script". Consequently, I received no satisfaction,and no customer service or appreciation. I see no reason the refrigerator couldn't be exchanged for a new one, considering it isn't even a year old, and not a luxury item as far as appliances goes, but absolutely a necessity for myself to maintain my heath. I am truly disappointed in Best Buy, and I wonder if customers really knew the service that they would receive from the Geek Squad, Parts Dept, but most importantly from Best Buy where the product was purchased from originally. I will not let this go until my complaint and concerns have reached the proper place.
