    Purchased three appliances from Homedepot all LG. Worse purchase I have ever made. Each appliance has had more than three repairs and they are only three and a half years old. LG will not accept responsibility for these three defective products. All they offer is extended warranty and refuse to state for how long. Contacted BBB and still they refuse to do anything about this. Will never buy there products again.   • LG Range with defective knobs.



    I have an LG range mod LRG30355st. This is the third time the knobs have broken at the shaft. LG replaced them once but denied fault. Heavy knob with a thin shaft. It's a design flaw. The knobs cost between 55-80 dollars each depending where you look. Outrageous price for a knob. They say they are stainless steel but they are plastic with a piece of metal inside to give it weight and a chrome film on the outside that bubbles up and peels off. Customer service is terrible.     I purchased an expensive LG Top Loader Washing Machine model # WT5480C from Home Depot in Jacksonville, FL and when I had used this machine to clean my family clothes I noticed that the towels, jeans, socks would come out hard and stiff when I dried them.   • LG top load washer and a dryer



    I purchased a new LG washer/dryer 1/19/14. I called LG and complained about the bleach dispenser. If I use bleach and I don't take paper towels and soak the bleach out of the dispenser, there will be bleach spots on the next load of clothes washed. Never heard back from anyone. I am very unhappy with the washer. I put two sheets and 2 pillow cases into wash and there is not enough water to get them wet.     Bought this washer in Sept 2014. Flooded first floor in June 2015. These appliances are junk. Going to donate both washer and dryer and buy new appliances from a reputable manufacturer. Run as fast as you can from this garbage. No attention to detail in design or actual fabrication.     I have had my LG washer now for over a year. I thought it only fair to use it and then review. At the year mark, my washer refused to drain.. so a very nice repair man came out and it was a broken wire going to the motor (I think).     I am using the bottom oven for the second holiday this Thanksgiving. Last March we bought all matching lg appliances from Abt(they are great). The racks do not slide in the top or bottom ovens. For the top oven, we have lived with it. Although it is highly annoying and terribly unfunctional. We hae a front load washer and dryer from LG.These appliances are crap! The washer filled up with too much water and the door opened and created a disaster. Now it doesn't fill properly with water and I have to pour buckets of water in on every cycle. The washer vibrated so hard it broke the shocks. We replaced the shocks and it still vibrates so loud the neighbors complained. We added four springs on every corner and it has helped a little.
We had to do all the repairs ourselfs because LG neveR calls us back and no service company in South Florida seems to want to deal with this company.

I WILL NEVER BUY A LG PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I paid about $5000 for a kitchen full of LG. 3 of the 5 knobs on the front of the stove have broken. Each time I replace a knob it's $52.00. Each knob that is sent back to me has a metal core instead of the plastic core the factory knobs came with. This issue should have been a re-call. The knobs are clearly defective.

I bought a LED TV, model: LG 47LM76100-TB 22 and after 19 months, I faced a problem in the display. The technician from Goldiran, the representative of LG Company in Iran, checked the TV and informed me that the panel of the TV is off and the fee for repairing the TV is equal to 90% of the initial price of the TV??!!
It is very interesting for me the TV with this high price didn't work for me even for 2 years and this is a big cheating from LG Company that sells equipments with problem. Shame on LG Company for this big cheating and I believe that LG is the biggest cheating company worldwide.

I AM THINKING OF GOING TO COMSUMER COURT BECAUSE I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR WORK TWO DAYS BACK ANOTHER MACHINIC CAME AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE LINES ARE CHOK UP YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE WHOLE MACHINE FOR REPAIR , HE SAID HE WILL COME ON TUESDAY BUT DID NOT TURNED UP THIS IS THE WAY LG IS TROUBLING ME AND CHEATING ME I AM FED UP WITH THE MACHINIC

times and spoke to Mr. Johnson who promised to send a Service Engineer within 24 hrs. BUT NO ACTION WAS TAKEN AT ALL BY YOUR PEOPLE and no service engineer visited us after any call.

However we have a service contract of Rs. 3000/year your service centre stopped giving any service; that means they don’t react on our complaints and don’t visit us to repair the machine

Finally your service people advised us to complaint at LG headquarters and ask for a new dishwashing machine.

So, with this letter I formal request you to provide a new LG Dishwasher LD-2152WH and take away the old malfunctioning machine.

I have contacted in the mean time the Consumer Rights Protection Council in Dindigul and they have advised me to file with them my two previous complaint letters and the bill of the machine which has been bought in December 2009 at Venus Electronics in Dindigul.

Nothing has happened since than (13-09-201) from your (LG) side.
I bought an other brand dishwasher and your LG dishwasher is standing for scrap. I will contact your scrap disposal department to get it disposed. I suppose I have even to pay for that. Useless company, useless machine, useless service, waste of money and time. I am happy I found this public blog to publish this bad experience with LG.

I purchased LG convection oven, microwave and dishwasher six years ago. So far: microwave has been repaired twice and dishwasher had a new motor replaced! Then FOOLISHLY we purchased a new French door refrigerator last year. Ice maker NEVER works properly. Have to bang on the outside of the unit to loosen the ice to make it work. Now the oven which I've loved: on Thursday I opened the cabinet door next to it. As I did so the glass panel front of the over shattered into thousands of pieces. What gives? I think it was defective all along as there was cooked matter inside the door between the glass and the metal. How did that get it there? Now I'm probably facing 100's in repair. But I won't pay it. I will buy a NEW KENMORE They last for years. I was a food to buy LG and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Life sucks with lg.

Hi,

This is surender i have purchased a lg 42'lcd tv last year
in one month there was a problem in the picture - 5 min the the screen was getting off auto. the same has i informed to the service center . the person has visited my home in that the internet option was there and he could not replace the same item he has adjusted with the alternate part which is non internet option.

after one year the same problem has occurred i have lodged the complaint on 19.10.2013-the complaint number-RNA-131021068814 .

AFTER 4 DAY THE SERVICE PERSON HAS CALLED TO ME AND ASKING FOR ADDRESS - BEFORE THAT I GOT THE STATUS IN THERE ACCOUNT WAS REOPENED WITH OUT MY KNOWLEDGE .THE CALL WAS REOPENED BY THE CUSTOMER .

I NEVER THOUGHT IN MIND THAT LG HAS GIVING THE SMS TO THE CUSTOMER BEFORE VISITING OR CALLING AND UPDATING FROM THERE END STATING THAT U R LOG TICKET REOPENED.

DEAR CUSTOMER YOUR COMPLAIN NO-RNA 131021068814 IS IN PROCESS ( REASON RE-APPOINTMENT).

THE SERVICE PERSON IS NOT AT ALL FRIENDLY TO THE CUSTOMER .

I purchased a LG semi automatic washing machine about 13 years back. The machine has given an excellent service so far with a repair / maintenance charge of less than Rs 500 so far. MS Roy

French door refrigerator - 4 years old - control panel went out. Actually it was the fuse that failed, but unlike a car, LG's fuse cannot be replaced - you have to replace the entire control panel which will take weeks to arrive. From day one the refrigerator cannot maintain 40 degree temp except at the back of the shelves. My LG dishwasher must have the dishes rinsed clean before I start the DW - it can't actually clean the dishes - it also can't dry them and it takes two hours for it not to clean the dishes. Wow! Next time, back to GE which has worked for me for 50 years. I'm really sorry I replaced my GE appliances which worked with LG which do no work well if at all.

I purchased an LG washer last year. It stopped draining. I have been trying to get someone to come and fix it for 3 weeks now. The customer service center is a nightmare. Every time I call it is 3 more days before they can locate someone. As of my last phone call, it has now been pushed back 3 to 8 days. We are looking at 5 weeks without a washing machine. Also the service center personnel are not very helpful. I had a girl with a very thick accent. I could not understand what she was saying. I politely told her that I couldn't understand her and could I please talk to someone else. She said no. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. She said no. It took 10 minutes and my getting angry to get transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor was extremely unhelpful. She couldn't do anything. It will just take as long as it takes. I'm sorry but I can't do anything. What kind of supervisor is that? The rude and unhelpful agent, oh well... I am so upset. This is my first and last LG product.

I have been trying to get my LG fridge sorted - the temperature is too low - but I keep getting the runaround when I try to send an Email. I did manage to get through once but I was advised to take it to a repairman and their Email was a send only address. This item is not very old but I am and I can't afford repairmen.
LG are getting a bad name with other products too but they don't seem to care.

We bought a LG stove , washer , dryer , tv . We will never buy another LG product as long as we live. everything is junk. And they do not care. Now we go with GE.

has any body have a problem with the stripping on the right door of the french door refrig.? It peeled down the lenght of the door about 1/4 in wide. One rep from LG said that he never heard of that problem. When we went to Best Buy to purchased I noticed that the floor model had the same issue but figured some punks were playing with the doors.

Do you guys remember the crappy appliance line Goldstar? They had a lot of similar problems and eventually went out of business. WELL,LG is GOLDSTAR!!! Just re-branded (look it up like I just did). My mother had 2 LG refrigerators that both leaked and destroyed the basement ceiling. Now my neighbors LG washing machine is destroying her hard wood floors. We all got suckered, again!!

I wish i had read this site before buying the lg frig.
these people are terrible to deal with and the product is not that great. Home depot told me that they gave excellent customer service. NOT. rude customer service and once they have your money, they do not know you. do not but lg.

We have owned all LG kitchen stainless steel appliances for the last 6 years. In 3 years, the refig boke twice, and each time it took about 2 months to fix, and now the dishwasher boke too. There is no LG service center nearby, and the service cost for LG appliances is really high. We are just think about get rid of $600 dishwasher and buy an American made one instead.

Even today, we still do not like the stove, as the range is either too small or too big.

By the way, there were supposed tohave $400 rebate for the aplliances, but we sent in the forms what so ever, but we never got the rebate back.

We won't recommend any US consumer to buy LG appliances. It is only trouble.

I wont bother with the problem as everyone above me has said it all and more... We must go to consumer affairs for what LG is doing to the consumer's. I will however call them every week so they will send a repairman till someone catches on that it cost more in repair service then giving me a replacement refrigertor.
